At our home spot here in Post Alley

It is time for the fall harvest, as the leaves change their hue and the night becomes colder and longer, please joins us for an evening full of wine, food, song, and dance. We welcome to the fall edition of Tassels and Wine at the historic and iconic Tasting Room Seattle located in heart of the market in Post Alley. Tantalize your taste buds with the creations of some of Washington's finest vineyards and fabulous small bites. As well as be amazed by uniquely talented rising stars in Seattle burlesque. Seating is limited and tends to sell out fast.

Burlesque is a great traditional art form combining dance, humor, music and personality. There is no full nudity involved but the performers will get pretty close with tassels and thongs and glitter galore. These shows are always a great time, and our small venue makes for an even more intimate experience.

Wine Growler Party!

To celebrate the new state law and start filling wine growlers. Wine growler legislation, HB 1742 was passed and goes into effect on June 12th. This means we can refill wine growlers onsite in Post Alley now, whereas previously they were only able to be filled at the winery. Granting off-site tasting rooms the right to refill is another step towards supporting green practices in winemaking. This is something Wilridge Winery has always prioritized. They started the state’s first wine bottle refill and keg system with their Maison wines. Read more on HB 1742 here.

$12 at the door covers your first glass of wine & access to the nosh table.Live music will be provided by our in-house favorite Andre Lovett to keep the party festive! Winemaker & wine lawyer Paul Beveridge will be on hand to celebrate, answer questions and fill up growlers of his Maison wines.

Cruise Boat Wine Policies

There were quite a few changes in the various cruise line’s wine policies this year. Holland America significantly reduced the amount of bottles guests can bring, while Princess Lines decided to tolerate far more wine being carried on board. The great news is that all lines currently allow guests to bring at a minimum a bottle of wine per guest 21+. Some lines even let you bring as much as you can carry.

on the subject of green wines....

We found a great NPR article featuring a very modern and cool looking winery in Baja Mexico made from reclaimed boats and eyeglass lenses among other great recycled innovations. Reading about this reminded  us of our pride in working among the innovators of  the  green wine movement. Our connection to the vineyard translates to a connection to our planet. We track our favorite growing regions meticulously by vintage, noticing the slightest difference from year to year and decade to decade.  The vintage changes in temperature, soil composition and overall vineyard environment are alive in each bottle we share.  We, the winos, notice these subtleties. We visit the vineyards and experience the sought after sense of place.
